What are good pet snake names?

Question: What are good pet snake names?

I'm getting a Ball Python soon and I'm stumped on names. I want a little boy, but my mom wants me to get a girl. Please list boy and girl names! I know that I don't want "Slither " or "Bob " or some dumb stereotype or American type name! I really want something either African, Greek, or Latin! If possible, list meanings with the name so I know why that would be a great name! Please help!!!!

Go to a baby naming site. That way you can pick the origin and even the meaning. I named my albino Burmese Python Loki cuz I wanted to name him after a god and I'm a prankster myself so it seemed to click. Okapi is African unisex name for animal with long neck lol Damian is a Greek boy name, means to tame. pretty appropriate since balls are chill snakes Aphrodite was the Greek goddess of love... IDK if you meant Latino by "Latin ", but Carlos is a Spanish boy name for free man. Benicia is Spanish girl name for good doer or Belita means beautiful.

Honestly do not get a snake..they get really big...n some pplz cant afford to take care of it...den they release it into d wild..this creates an increase in invasive species that can hurt ur local wildlife and the pplz living around that environment....including little children

Male ball pythons get about three to four feet long. Females get about four to five feet long. You can name them after like a ball. Like tenis ball. Or basketball. Like tenis since more girls play that and basket because more guys play that. Or any other ball. My ball pythons name is bouncy. Bouncy ball python.

Just go on google and look up a translator and look up words that pertain to something snakelike in those languages. I used to name all of my herps after greek gods and goddesses and then i started on the norse gods and such. I'm a fan of funny names now, like I had a gulf hammock ratsnake named fluffy, a ball named kitty and my big burm is Ramen, after the noodles.

If you do get a male, I would name him Monty, after Monty Python. Just because I love their search for the holy grail. Anything would work, though, and you could name it whatever you want.

Ball pythons get their name because they curl up in tight balls so name him/ her something like twister. my old snake was named twister. :)

Wow I have no idea why people are telling you not to get a snake, they are the easiest pet to take care of. Yes in some states like florida people are releasing snakes into the wild and its becoming a problem but first off this is a ball python that you are talking about, not a boa, or a burmese python. Anyways my female boa is boo (shes albino). And my female ball python is bola (ball in portuguese). And my male ball python is called cupid, just because I got him on valentines day.
