Thinking about getting a pet snake!?
I really want to get a snake.. I'm not sure what kind, or how big I want to to get... Any ideas? I have kids but don't plan on letting them hold the snake.

I'm thinking of buying my first pet snake, a corn snake!?
Hey,I was thinking of buying a pet snake and so i did some research on the internet and spoke with my parents. They all seem to suggest getting a corn snake, they are friendly, easy to care for, nice looking and very interesting. I'm not sure how clever they are but most reptiles are so i presume they'll be the same.So basically, how easy are they to handle? Because i've heard that alot of corn snakes can get lost in their owners house and i do not want that to happen to me lol. If i was to handle my snake and start to play with it and take a good look at it, would it be tempted to slither away not sure what the word is and go somewhere i can't reach it. How do you Find/Catch a missing pet snake (that is still in the house)?
I was holding my 5' corn snake name Buddy, and i put him down to go to the bathroom silly idea that , When i got back about 2 minutes later he was gone We never have any doors or windows open and i know he cant climb stairs i tried to see if he could once so he's probably in our basement. I currently have a trap set a box with a mouse in it with one opening which is right about just as big as him so after he eats he should be too fat to get out Any advice would be great

My first pet snake :)?
I am considering getting a pet snake but am unsure on what to get, as this would be my first reptile of any kindI would like the snake to be around 6 8ft, and not require a whole heap of attentionSomething easy to care for, and not aggressive.I do have a family friend that has been handling snakes for about 20 years....but I am unable to ask him any questions at the moment because he is on holidays.But he will be able to help me with any problems I may encounter with the snake I will definitely be doing some research on this before I jump in and buy the animal, and If it becomes too much for me, I will donate it to the local reptile park, or seek out a good home with an experienced owner

Can I bring my pet snake to St. Kitts with me when I move?
I am moving to St. Kitts in the Caribbean for a little more than two months and I'd hate to leave my pet rainbow boa behind. I can't seem to find any concrete yes or no answers online and the island's CVO has yet to get back to me about it.

Are there any really small pet snakes?
My brother really wants to get a Pet snake, but his mum will only only let him have a really small pet as she doesn't want a huge tank in the house... What's the smallest type of snake he could get? It can't be anything dangerous as there are small kids in the house. Advice please?He said even a litte he'd be happy with.
