I would like advice on my pet rabbit....?
I have a male lop dwarf rabbit and when we first bought him, we bought a female rabbit aswell, they appeared to get on well, and have been in the same hutch for about 6 months, unfortunately we have now had to split them as my rabbit attacked the other one badly. I have now taken my rabbit away with me as i have moved out of the house i shared and my mate kept the other one that had been attacked. I would really like to buy my rabbit another mate but i am scared that this will happen again and cannot afford vet bills again if he were to attack her.I would really appreciate advice on this.Thanks

What do I do about my pet rabbit's abrasion?!?
I came home from work only to find my pet bunny's cage with blood around it. When I looked at him I noticed he had a cut on the back of his left hind leg. He's kinda hopping around normal, but keeps trying to chew on his foot. I've also noticed that he is kind of shaking a bit. I don't know what to do Do I bandage it? Is there medicine I can put on the cut? Help please I'm calling the vet in the morning. I'm just trying to figure out if there is something I can do while I'm sitting here. He's freaking me out because he keeps trying to lick but at the cut and I don't know if I should let him do that or if I should quit trying to stop him. ACK > .<

ok,so im getting a pet rabbit soon GOD's willing and my pets dnt exactly ..'last long" but don't think i cnt take care of pets and keep neglecting them and still want pets,its not like tht,its just tht my mother keeps putting them outside and the ALWAYS die of heat stroke,i LOVE animals aloot and really want a rabbit,so my dad & mom syas i cna get one but my dad says if dis one dies ...like fast im not getting another one.i love my pets,i feed them,play with them,take them outside to run around wile supervised and search up on health care tips ALOT,but my dad dose'nt pay attention and thinks i dnt care for them,so plllzzz help me,i got a gud cage and gud bedding,im gon for 8 hours on weekdays so i wanna keep my rabbit cool in di house ..cnt keep em outside or then it'll definitely get killed ...or stolen by sum fool so just please tell me how to make it live for long and prevent heat stroke how to keep it in the best conditon,just really healthy and happy. ...AND LIVING LONG ...srry if dis wa too long.

Is lettuce good or not good for my pet rabbit?
I went for a checkup with my vet, and they said we shouldn't give carrots a lot, only the baby ones once a day. Ok, so we don't. Then she said that my rabbit Holland Lop should be eating mainly veggies with a little bit of pellets. Ok, so that's done. We give her romaine lettuce. My bunny doesn't seem to get diarrhea, doesn't get tummy aches, and totally loves the lettuce But I go onto the Web and search " Feeding Rabbits," and they say don't give lettuce What should I do?

How would your attitudes toward your dog change if he ate your pet rabbit?I love my 5 year old German shepherd. Up until today i always saw him as sort a gentle giant. He's good with little kids as well as my tiny 4 pound chihuahua. A week ago, I came home to my back yard to feed my pet rabbit and discovered that the door to the hutch was wide open. I looked inside and he was nowhere to be seen. It turned out my sister had played with him and left it open when she put him back I checked all over the backyard in the bushes behind the shed you name it all over the neighborhood. He was nowhere to be seen. I was convinced he had escaped through a gap in the side gate and suspected nothing else. I collected my dogs droppings yesterday after many days because it had been raining for several days. You could imagine it was very soggy. The rain did a little more than make an unpleasant task a little worse. In a pile of droppings I saw unusual amounts of fur and hair uncovered by relentless drops of pounding rain. My first thought was, it couldn't be, Jerry would never do this. Upon closer inspection, I saw a rabbit claw and bits of bone. From that moment, my heart sank. I thought how could he do this? I never saw a trace of blood on him. I always fed him enough, why would he kill and eat Coney? It's hard to imagine a dog as gentle as he could kill and eat a rabbit he had lived with for so long.

Why is my pet rabbit building a nest?
I have a single female dwarf rabbit she was a gift, and by the time I'd received her, she wouldn't accept a cage mate at ALL . Shes just over three years old. She lives indoors, and has a large run, in addition to her bi level cage.Since about October, she's been building nests in her nest box fairly continuously, and because of this she has been shedding a ton of fur nonstop for the last five or so months. I did some research on false pregnancies, but it seems that most people agree that she would have to have been with a male to think that she's pregnant. Should I run her to the vet to get this checked out for overall wellness? She's acting normally otherwise, and has been eating normally.Any ideas as to why she is doing this? Is it normal? Tips on grooming my pet Rabbit?
I just got a pet rabbit and would like to know the best ways to groom it. A lot of fur comes out and it flies everywhere. Is there a few tips on how and where to do this so i don't dirty everywhere and make my backyard full of fur? Any tips to make the job as clean as reasonably possible?
