Question: Help are theese lizards poisonous?

Hi i live in bellflower california and in my shed with the pool pump there are 3 lizzards can anyone tell me what kind of lizards they are could they be poisonous are they agressive or what they are all different shades but the main one i saw was yellow and black stripes about 5 inches the logest one was about 6 inches can anyone help?

Im not sure about this one. Send in the neighbor's dog and see how long he'll last.

The only venomous lizards in California are Gila Monsters. A picture of my gila monster will appear with this answer. Go to my blogsite and wait for the slide show. You'll see Picasso the gila monster in the slides. Also if you scroll down in "Learn About the Zoo Crew, " click on "Picasso " and it will give you a good picture to compare with the animals you saw. If it is a gila monster do NOT pick it up. They have a very bad bite. Call your Animal Control to remove it. They are Internationally Protected with a $250,000.00 fine for killing one. The only two poisonous lizards in the world are the Gila monster (Heloderma suspectum) of the southwestern United States and the beaded lizard (Heloderma horridum) of Mexico. so you might want to look at it compare pics and to what it looks like

Pictures help.. gilas and beadeds are not the only venomous lizards komodo dragons have been proven to be venomous a long with the other monitors. check of Dr. Fry's site venomdoc
