If i remember right, my cat's kittens went to the dry food on their own. My cat would actually teach them to eat the dry and canned food and wean them off milk herself. (That and she did bring in a chipmunk she killed herself to feed them as well for two of her batches of kittens >____ > ). If you're trying to give them away, 8 weeks is the minimum so by then, they definitely should be eating dry and canned food. |

Put down some canned kitten food, mix with a bit of warm water, and stand back. They'll probably play in it and walk through it until they get the hang of it. Mom is slowing starting to wean the kittens, so yes, you need to be offering the kittens some food. If they are doing well on the canned food, you can put some hard kibble down, but they probably won't go for the hard food until they're closer to 6wks old. |

Start offering wet food for your kittens, but mom should still be feeding them occasionally. Have your parents (since you sound like a child) take them all to the vet to be checked out to make sure they are healthy, and arrange to have them all spayed/ neutered, including mom. She can get pregnant again now, and will reject the kittens if she is already pregnant again since she will be preparing for the next litter. |

Do not just provide canned food when weaning them. At 4 weeks you should be weaning them yes. Provide your kittens with good quality kitten food like science diet for kittens. Add some warm water and let them figure it out as mom teaches them. |

You can buy supplemental kitten milk at any pet shop and a baby bottle. Mix per directions and feed as often as the directions say. Simply warm the amount you need, gently put the kitten on his/ her back and guide the bottle nipple into its mouth. It will naturally drink as if it were at its mother's nipple. Be careful not to let it get too much at a time, however, especially when it's so hungry. You will have to supplement its milk for about one month and then you can give it canned food - and then you're off and running! Eventually the kittens will eat dry food - be sure to start them on kitten food. They need that for the 1st six months of their lives to grow healthily. |
