I am looking for guidance on how to re-clay horse stalls, and where the clay can be purchased.?
The existing floor is very uneven with large pockmarks. I am looking to add more clay to level the floor, but can't seem to find any information online. Perhaps there are different terms out there that I don't know?
Help i need to know something about horse stalls?
there are stalls at this place we are trying to buy and i was wondering what i could use as bedding i don't have much room there are two stalls and room for a third and a tack and feed room and a loft for hay but i don't want to have to bring it down these steps everyday and threre's some room buthat'sts the door out side for them and i don't know if i should use bags full unless vary expensive or straw or something. there r no othebuildingsgs but the house and a little shed for a boat but that's far away. and i need to know if i would need to clean every day or what? i have horses but they are boarded and always out side i know of a barn that used sun flower seeds is that ok or......?the stalls have small doors too and its boarded up how should i open them or should i just get stall doors from the store?its a older barn and i dont knowthey have cement and dirt floors
Where is the cheapest place to purchase good quality rubber stall mats for horse stalls?
I have looked around and the best I have found so far is $380 for a 12 x 12 stall interlocking mats 3 4" thick.

so im gonna stall my horse at the fair this summer and ill decorate his stall...i need some hlp deciding what im gonna do quarter horse gelding named " scout houndinis magic" but scout fro short. i was thinking of either a magic theme, or a teal theme with pics of us any more ideas help thanks

How should I decorate my horses stall for a show?
Our 4H show has a stall decorating competition each year, with a theme. This years theme is 'Make tracks to the county fair'... Any ideas for how I can decorate my horses stall? I was thinking something along the lines of animal tracks.... but idk

Older horse. Stall training?
So now normally the only horses I've stall trained are yearlings.I just recently bought a 7y.o. 13.3hh POA Gelding.He's very loving and laid back.When I bought him from the auction I learnt that he has no ground manners.I've managed to solve everything but two things.His constant wiggling while cross tied.And Stall training.I can get him into the barn, no problem, and I can get into the stall with him on a lead and he's fine.But as soon as the lead is off, he gets scared, and tries to run out, both with and without a person in there with him.When the door is closed, he circles and whinnies, and most often " mucks" up the stall.Any ideas even scratch ideas on how to get this boy stall trained?Here's a picture, if it's any help i611.photobucket.com albums tt195 small billboard OLI.jpgHe has been stalled in the past.Before I bought him at the auction the owner said he was on indoor outdoor board.His stall will be in a small isle. It has a small window, below bars. He has a neighbour. A 32 year old TB.Very gentle. I've known the horse for 7 years.He has no windows, but no solid walls but the back. There are bars on both sides, and he is beside a door leading to the pasture, although his view is of the riding ring.
Horse stall drainage?
my horse is in a dirt floor stall. it has wood chips in but, no matter how much i shovel it stays muddy our barn is dry is there something i can do for drainage,we have three other horses in the barn the stalls are not this way and they are maintained the same as mine. i have noticed my horse urinating more frequently since i have began stalling him for the winter

Horse stall and pasture problems?
ok so its winter here and we live on the side of a really big hill, so when the ground get wet it gets really slippery When I turn my two horses out to pasture they slip around alot, so I don't want to turn them out and then leave for work, without anyone watching them. Because of this I am keeping them in there stalls 12 by12 while I am not home. Because of the bad economy the saw mill where we are getting our sawdust is not making as much as we need, because our stalls are dirt floor they can get pretty gross if there is not enough bedding. Do you have any ideas to help in my situation? I can't afford to buy bedding in bags at a store and there are no other saw mills.
