HELP! My baby hamster!?
I just got a hamster today, she's still a Baby...I've had hamsters before. But when she gets mad, she starts squeaking at me D < is this normal for a BABY hamster? Will she always be like this? She is a Long haired hamster. I haven't named her yet so can you help with that too? URGENT! (sort of): Is my hamster pregnant? (REPOST FROM RODENTS)?
She has a large butt. It's not balls because she is female and they are lower then the male balls She sleeps in the corner of the cageShe runs on her wheel the sameHer butt area is small and her " cheeks" lol are hairless and she poops from in between them. I have owned 7 hamsters before and have never seen anything like this before. I got them from the pet store and she was with other females. I have only purchased 1 pregnant hamster from this store out of all 7 She is hamster 8. She is a Syrian.she does eat a lot

Hamsters screeching at me?
I have a 1 1 2 month baby girl hamster in a cage right now and earlier when I reached in to check on her, I picked up her little hidey home and peeked in her bed and she started screeching at me very loudly. I was very surprised, I have never had any of my other hamsters do this. Has anyone else ever been screamed at by their hamster? Yes, she was sleeping, but I wanted to make sure she was okay before I went to work so I peeked, i didn't mean to disturb her, but I always do a quick round before I head off.I didn't know hamsters could have nightmares, how sad. I'm lucky as I rarely do not for a few years in fact . She didn't start making the sound until I had disturbed her, I bet she was just scared, just wanted to make sure the sound was a common thing since it was new to me. Strong hamster cages! any help appreciated! (and hamster carring cages)?
Hopefully I might be getting a Syrian Hamster. If i get a girl I want to name her Nilla I would adopt him her from a guinea pig hamster rescue. At the rescue they have cage set ups for sale, aquarium, hidey house, bowl, wheel, and water bottle w sand for 50$. also includes aquarium lid and clip . Problem is I also live at my dad's house every other weekend. His house is under renovation right now but when it's done i'll have a room there. I know that hamsters can be left for about 2 days with food and water and my mom can change it if needed but i would really like to take him her with me. My dad only lives 3 blocks away. Most likely won't be able to walk home I wouldn't need a big cage but something safe and escape proof or as Escape proof as possible . I was thinking about getting the habitrail ovo and the ovo carrying case. That way i can have a carrying case and an addition to his other cage. Problem is, I haven't heard great things about it . What do you think, would it be an ok cage for a day or 2 at a time? Do you have any other good cage ideas? Any carrying case ideas? Thanks for all the help P.S if you have pictures of a unique cage, such as a decorated cage i would totally appreciate a link

My Chinese hamster keeps attacking it's litter mate?
I bought two hamsters, both female. They are the same breed and from the same cage and litter.The more active one keeps attacking the friendly one and won't let her sleep, eat, or get water.I have one in the cage now, and one in a box with food and all to keep it well.Why is the active one doing this?Note I've never owned hamsters before so I'm worried and confused.I meant Chinese Dwarf hamsters.The active one was also showing signs of aggression earlier. She bit a nice sized hole in my finger and refuses to let anyone touch her.I know this may be because of the new environment but still.

Is this a good deal for a hamster and set up?
I'm probably going to adopt a hamster from this rescue. if you buy this set up for 50$ you'll get the hamster for free. here the exact quote " We do have cage set ups for sale. A 10 gallon aquarium with screen lid, cage clip, food bowl, water bottle with holder, exercise wheel and hidey house are available for my cost of $50. Buy a set up and get the hamster for free" I think it's a really good deal but i might replace the water bottle depending on if its good and possibly the wheel if it squeaks. Hamster recovery after loosing top teeth in cage biting accident?
Our Black European hamster had an incident some time last night where he was biting on his cage, and broke his two top teeth almost completely off. There was quite a bit of blood and he wasn't happy, but we were able to calm him down and clean him up. It seemed that the bleeding stopped within 10 minutes of the accident.Today we took him to a vet, whom did not specialize in hamsters, but was able to give him a fluid injection and get us a look inside his mouth.The hamster seems to be fine. He's still as active and as energetic as always, but he cannot eat hard foods, though we are feeding him soft food now, and he hasn't touched his water bottle since last night.The thing that is worrying me, is that the hamster seems to be sneezing very often now and making a clicking noise that I never noticed before. It could be that he did the clicking before and I never noticed, since we have only had him a week, or something else.I am wondering what could be the problem, how to get him to drink water again, and what is the best road to recovery.Please, only answers from experienced hamster specialist owners.
