I got my gerbils 5 days ago the girl is 3 months and the boy is 6 weeks old. How do you teach a gerbil to go through tubes.?

Gerbil In Anther World?
So I just bought two 5 week old gerbils. One we had to exchange because of lung issues getting vet care , so we got another one. He was very active but now I place him in the cage and he just sits there. Still breathing and blinking but it's like he is not there. The other gerbil just walk on top of him and he doesn't move. I stick my hand in the cage and pet him but still no moving. I can hold him and he sort of moves around but not much. What is the deal? After holding him I placed him back in his cage and he is still in the same spot after 3 hours.
