I might get 1 or 2, heard there very sociable animals . I know it is 2 years away but I don't want to jump into it.I know the basics of having money saved by for vets letting them have meat quite often and they need 4 hours a day of your time. But can you give me a full detailed description of how to look after them please?Btw because I will be an healthcare assitant of 3 days on 3 days off all 12 hour shifts Would it be ok to give them like 2 hours out of their cage for them 3 days but like 6 8 hours when im off? to make up for lost timeI would really appretiate your help thanks.P.S how do you tame them. i know i cant feed my ferret fruit and vegetables, and im trying to find another suplement due to the cost of food from the petstore. i know i can feed him meet, can i feed him chicken or beef? or what other pet food can i feed him?

I know they are more expensive than most rodents and other animals yes I KNOW they are weasles but can you give me any care tips?I know to let them out for 3 4 hours a day, and that they need castrating or spaying, otherwise need an injection every year.Does anyone know an average cost of how much it is to neutor a male? or spay a female? Also I am thinking of saving 200 before buying the ferrets. And putting 25 a month into the savings account from then onwardsIf landlord don't allow pets, are ferrets ez to hide

Ferret Pro's & Con's, Ferret care?
I'm NOT positive I'm getting a ferret, but I am highly considering it... It'll take some convincing, my mom's not a big fan of them So, can you tell me some pro's & con's of owning a ferret? Should I get 1, or 2 ferrets? Male or female? Is it okay if I purchase one from a pet store? I have a yorkshire terrier, that generally LOVES other animals, but she has not met a ferret yet, how & should I introduce them? Should I buy a harness for the ferret s, So they can come outside? And, is there anything else you think I should know research? I've been doing LOTS of research... I haven't found every answer to my questions, that's why I'm counting on you guys, I will do extra research if need be. So, ferret owner s help me answer my questions Please, & thanks. I looked on craigslist, I only found 1 add about ferrets, & this lady can't keep her ferrets because she's moving & she has 2, 1 male 1 female & she's selling the ferrets, the cage, the bed, litter box, food plate, & water bottle, nail clipper, 2 bags of food, & some toys.. all for $200 ....WHICH IS CHEAP, for all of that Do you think I should go with her? how often does a ferret cage need cleaned?this ferret lives in a HUGE cage and the person's house it lives in reeks of pee and the ferret just looks mangy. it's probably been a few months since the cage has been cleaned.what food is best for ferrets?it's eating brown pellets.what do ferrets need in their cages?the ferret has two hammocks and a hamburger chew toy. it just seems like it doesn't have a lot to do.any info would be helpful, whenever i see this ferret i want to help him. i know ferrets aren't rodents, i just thought this would be the best section to put this in there's no bedding in its cage either. i don't know if ferrets need bedding or not, but i know that many little pets require bedding in their care.he gets brown pellets from wal mart.in my hamster's food, they eat everything but the pellets, which makes me think they're just not that good.do ferrets need their claws trimmed? this ferret has really long claws
