Is better to have two ferrets or one?
Im getting a ferret in Feb and so was my roommate, so we had it all figured out and had picked out a small indoor enclosure designed for ferrets, but now he has decided he no longer wants one.I heard they should be with another ferret but can they still be happy alone but i'll get him out everyday? Plus if they shouldn't be alone I guess I shouldn't get one so it doesn't become depressed Ive done me research and the landlord said it would be fine to have a ferret in our flat, but im just unsure about ferrets having 'company'.

Help with two ferrets?
i have two ferrets. a female and a male. they are both de sexed..i got the female ferret about 3 weeks ago and the male last friday.since them both being together the male keeps annoying the female by trying to hump her. he bites her by the neck and doesnt let go, sometimes ive had to pull his jaw open to get him off her..they do get along. they snuggle together when they sleep and stuff its just whenever he boy wakes up he goes straight up to her and gets her..from what i can tell she doesnt like it.. she hisses at him and she kinda does like a whinging noise as if it hurts. i thought it was playing but i felt her neck yesterday and she has scabs all over them.im not there during the day but generally am with them from 4.00 onwards and they are out and running around or snuggling with me..they are both handled a lot..how do i stop this from happening?? its stressing me out because im scared shes going to get hurt from him and soon die from her being stressed... can anyone help on what i can do??please??thanks

How much play time do ferrets need if they have their own room?
I have a good sized room dedicated to my 2 ferrets which they are loose in all the time. It has their cage, food, hammocks, an old chair, play stuff, tubes, litter boxes etc. I play with them and clean their room everyday, so how much time should they have out of that room and in the rest of the house? I would love to have them roam the whole house all the time but they get into too much trouble and always miss the litter boxes that way. Also, what are some ideas to spice up the room and keep them entertained for cheap?
How to stop a Ferret from flinging food?
I have two 3 year old albino ferrets and the boy likes to dig in his bowl flinging his food everywhere, not only is the sound of him scratching annoying but he's wasting food. I tried spraying him with water when he does it but I think he just thinks I want him to drink, because after I give him a spritz he always drinks and stops for a moment then goes right back to doing it. Is there any way to stop this?

A few ferret questions?
i was wondering how hard it is to litter train a male ferret. How to teach ferrets tricks? Is it like training a dog? And If the ferret gets litter trained, would it be okay to let my ferret out in a room by himself when im not home if he is in a room where he couldn't get out and no other animals could go in there? The room where the ferret would be in has nothing in but toys, like kittie toys. I boarded the door up so no one can come in or out.I boarded the vent, which was boarded in the first place i just did it better. Other than that there is nothing in the room that could be destroyed or could be messed up. The only time the ferret would be in the room is when im not home, and when i am home he will be out and running around
Training a mean baby ferret?
So my brother bought two new baby ferrets. He doesn't know much about them so he's asked me. I know about ferrets but I've always gotten older ferrets and they were always already trained so there wasn't much need for me to teach them how not to nip or how to use the litter box.He got a boy and a girl, oh my goodness they are ADORABLE. But anyways, he's had them for a few days now and he just called my mom today to tell her he is probably going to bring them back because the boy is extremely mean. He will not let the female eat, he hisses when any of them walk by, he hisses at the female, he bit my brother's girlfriend sock and they literally had to pry him off of the sock. I will not let him bring them back to the store, so either he needs to figure out how to train them or I'm going to take them. I already have two ferrets, one is 3 and the other is 6. My six year old is a female and does nothing but sleep, but my 3 year old is very rambunctious, so my brother thought it may be good if he bring over the baby boy and see if my older one can " teach" him a lesson, make him know that he isn't the dominant one, would that be helpful?Either way, I need some good tips on how to calm the baby down and allow his sister to eat and to stop hissing and biting. Also how to litter train them. Thanks so much

Is my female ferret PREGNANT?
my female is 4 and a half and i have 4 females one male and hers some questions... does a male have balls? and if he doesnt does that mean hes fixed? do all females have tits?or when their pregnant do they get them? becuase my male only has a penis and my female is pre fat and her butts abit swolen not really and her vagina looks like she might be pregnant. but my males supose to be fixed but my friends ferret isnt supose to be and it looks just like my male underneath and it has also been with my unfixed female.actually i have brains and have lots of experience my ferrets are all fixed exept the one female because i just saved her from abused people.
I'm thinking about getting a ferret but I have some questions?
I'm thinking about getting a ferret, but what would I do with them if I'm gone? I'm not gone a lot but sometimes I go camping with my family. Are their certain kennels that will take ferrets for a few days? I don't think I could get anyone to babysit them except possibly my friend who lives across the street but I don't want to bother anyone with coming over and playing with it for 2 4 hours. Is it better to get one or two? I only wanted one because I figured it would be easier to take care of just one but I heard they get lonely and need a companion. What is the difference between male and female? I heard females are more hyper and males are more mellow but I'm not sure...I'm not breeding them so they'll be fixed. Is it bad to put two males together? What games do they play and what do they play with? This is the one thing that concerns me. I read that you have to replace their toys every few days or they'll get bored. I'm only fourteen and I don't know if I'll be able to run to the store every day to get a new toy. That's the one thing I'm REALLY thinking hard on. I know ferrets are extremely playful and I don't know how much I would be willing to play with it. I know I'd play with it at first but later on, what if I get bored? How much do they cost and where can you get them? I read the cages cost about $200 minimum but how much do the ferrets themselves cost? I think you can get them at the pet store but I heard that it was bad to get pets from there so I'm confused on that one?? Is it better to get them when they're young or what? Also, are there places you can go I'm in MI where you can play with a ferret s for a little while to see how you like it?How do you " ferret proof" a room? Is it putting away any small toys or things they could choke on or just things they could hide? I'm pretty sure I would figure it out in a few days anyway but I want to know beforehand. How long does it take a ferret to warm up to you when you first get it? Will it bite when you first get it too? I'm kind of scared to get bit because I heard they bite really hard but you can train them not to.I'm just trying to do my research so please answer these questions the best you can. I know ferrets are hard work and a big commitment so I'll need to know everything before getting one. Any other extra information would be helpful too.
