My dog Is bloated. a symptom of being in heat?
She is 3 yrs old and we just found her a couple of months ago. This is the first heat i've ever gone through with a dog. She started bleeding 3 days ago, but now her belly seems fairly swollen. I will take her to the vet this week but need some ideas to ease my mind.
My dog is acting strangely I don't know if it is a symptom of her being in heat?
My dog went into heat about a day ago, and she just started bleeding last night. She kept me up for most of the night with her snorting sneezing. When she starts to do it, it sounds almost as if she is sneezing, but then sort of turns into a snort. I got up to check on her and she was fine, but she started doing it again. She has done it off and on all day today. I am not worried because she is not having problems breathing, and I know I have seen her do this before I am almost sure that it was when she was last in heat, and if it wasn't her, it was her mother, my other dog. I breed Dobermans but I can't really remember. I am just wondering if anyone elses dog has done this I have been searching the internet, but can find nothing I would really appreciate any kind of info you could give me Thank you
Symptoms of dogs in heat?
I have an 11 month old purebred toy poodle. She is pitch black.We are trying to breed her w our other purebred black toy poodle. But cannot tell when she bleeds, cuz she's so black, and apparently small dogs don't bleed much.I was wondering what other symptoms besides bleeding and male dogs wanting to hump her would she be showing.My male toy poodle is constantly wanting to hump her, and she sometimes allows him too and now she's been licking her vulva very often and has been overly affectionate with all of us. There's even been a stench of fish around the two dogs recently Does that mean she's in heat? Or possible already pregnant?
