How are the Kuranda dog beds?
I've noticed some shelters around my area and the rescue group I work with have a link to kuranda dog beds if people want to donate to them. Are these beds really good for the dogs? What makes them better than others?Just curious since I may want one for my dog....Also, if I decide to get one, what size should I get? I have a 45lb german shorthaired pointer mix?
Are my 2 labs OK sleeping at night in a kennel with dog beds at a constant 55-60 degrees?
They are indoor & outdoor dogs, I just don't like them in the house when I'm not home like 5 hours a day or at night. They have a 10'x5' kennel with dog beds in my insulated, heated garage at a constant 55 60 degrees. When it gets cold outside, my girlfriend FREAKS out when I put them in their kennel at night. I personally think they are probably more comfortable there than in the 70 degree house.

We rescued 3 small kittens and kept one, a male. Now our 15 year old kitten is peeing on bedding, plants, and the dogs bed. I understand that she may be doing this because of the kitten. My dog is kind of obsessive over my parents lol. Hes really clingy. I have a Yorkie and he'll only lay down on something if it has My mom and or dads scent on it, well you know he wont lay on his new dog bed untill we break it in lmfao...My dog sleeps with my parents at night, like in between my mom in my dad. But my poor dog was so put off by the chemical smell that i decided to put a blanket over it, this morning i wake up to find he peed on the blanket. I clean his litter box regularly every other day, in fact the day he started peeing on my dog's bed i just cleaned it I deter him from even getting near the dog bed whenever I am home, but i can't be home 24 7. Will just continuous cleaning make the smell fade enough for him?Yes he is spayed. Nothing seems to bring the behavior on. Nothing has changed in my home.
Best dog bed for golden retrievers?
My golden tried out some dog beds at petsmart, and she is almost 5 months old and only 25lbs, im assuming shes only gonna be about 2 3rds the size of average goldens. I want to get a bed that she will be able to fit in comfortably when she get older, she likes the kinds that is like microfiber and has like a ledge where she can snuggle inside of it, like into the creases, she does not like it to be too stuffed full cause it scares her when it moves when she sits on it, i would also like a bed that is machine washable and not too pricey. Heated dog bed, a good idea?
Hi, My Pit Bull Millie gets chilly easily. This is her first winter with me. I rescued her 8 months ago, and I have already purchased her a dog fleece coat, a winter jacket, and a dog sweater for the cold weather. However, I have a nice bagel bed for her, and sometims I see her shivering at night, so now I put a nice fuzzy blanket over her, and she really loves it. So now every night before we go to sleep she goes in her bed and I put the blanket over her. I was thinking she may like a heated dog bed. I dont know anything about heated dog beds. So I have some questions Do you recommened a heated dog bed?Does your dog like its heated dog bed?What is the best heated dog bed you can get?Do you have any other suggestions on keeping your dog warm in the cold winter weather?My dog lives inside my house with me just so no one asks me that question She gets 2 hours of excersize a day, and various outings throughout the day to go to the bathroom.

that's it... my chihuahuas have a nice setup in the enclosed garage, with a big pillow, blankets to burrow under, and plenty of shelter, but they're small, and on cold evenings i'm hoping to be able to keep them warm. the electric, heated dog beds available online or at the pet store are $75 or more. Is it safe to use a heating pad? when inspecting one at the store, i thought the heating unit looked just like a water bed heater you remember those, long flat rectangles that plug in? . inside that pillow the heating unit was surrounded by egg crate foam, then fabric.can i make one safely? best thing to use? i'd love to hear about your experiences. thanks the dogs definitely come in, but have to go out sometimes, like to stretch their little legs and go potty. our garage is dog and kid safe, as we've got both. i live near sacramento, no where snowy or icy. i wasn't looking for haters who just answer to earn their two points but was hoping for real advice, like some of you shared. i appreciate your insight.
