Question: Are there any natural or human-grade brands of diabetic dog food?

I've researched most of the major brands of dry diabetic dog food (e.g. Hill's, Purina etc.), and the ones I've seen contain animal by- products. Does any one know of brands suitable for diabetic dogs that use human- grade ingredients? If not, are there any homemade dog food recipes that you would recommend?
