Are there any natural or human-grade brands of diabetic dog food?
I've researched most of the major brands of dry diabetic dog food e.g. Hill's, Purina etc. , and the ones I've seen contain animal by products. Does any one know of brands suitable for diabetic dogs that use human grade ingredients? If not, are there any homemade dog food recipes that you would recommend?
My dog is diabetic. I feed her a diet dog food that is hard to get. Any feeding suggestions?
The food she is using has to be ordered and the delivery is very unreliable. As she will get ill if she doesn't eat correctly, I get concerned when I have to feed her regular dog food. Is that anything I can substitute the chow with when necessary? Lean chicken, fish, etc. She receives two insulin injections a day, and is healthy otherwise.

Any good/healthy human food for diabetic dog?
I have her on Purina Proplan turkey . This was the only senior food that doesnt have that Glucosomine which may possibly raise blood sugar I usually put a little chicken on top or a dry treat or two. Anyway looking for something I can cook for her to change it up, but dont want to raise her glucose. Any ideas or should I just stick with what I already do?
My diabetic dog won't eat and is now becoming food aggressive. HELP?
My husky is 9 and we recently found out she is a diabetic, so it's important that she eats cause I don't want her going into hypoglycemia after I give her her insulin shots. We generally free feed her, but in the last couple of weeks she's started going after our cats when they get near the food, remember this is hasn't happened during the first 9 years of her life. The dog won't even eat, she just stares at her food then the second a cat goes near her food she jumps up and gaurds the food attacks the cat. I've started to give her set meals so I can watch prevent the cats from getting too close, but she won't eat I give her 20 min. to eat . She's probably only ate a bite of food in the past two days. Any ideas on how to either make her eat and or stop with the food aggression?Thanks.The cats are fed separately in a different room.
Diabetic dog who eats only Raw food?
I have a puppy whom I just found out has diabetes. She was born in our home, since my mom's a dog breeder for Havanese, and she is just the cutest thing ever. It's the first time that we've had a diabetic dog and since shes mine I have to give her the shots and stuff. I'm only 14 so I really do need help. My mom feeds our dogs raw food, like chicken necks and stuff, and I just wanted to know if that would change since she's diabetic? PLEASE anybody who knows, it's going to be sooo appreciated.
