OMG somthing wrong with my chinchillas?!?
my chinchillas poop like 30 times a minute im really worried that im doing something wrong the person i brought them off didn't take good care of them and used to feed them like 6 raisins a day and stuff,they also don't eat chinchilla pellets but eat chinchilla food which has like bits of carrot and all sorts in it, its proper chinchilla food, not a treat i feed them the odd raisin and a tiny little bit of apple like once a monthbut they do eat a hell of alot, they eat through a bowl full of food everyday then i give them more, they get alot of exercise cos i let them round around my floor once a day for around half an hour.i rly love my chins and would hate to think im harming them in any way any ideas?
Do chinchillas like baby powder?
My boyfriends getting a chinchilla. Do you think that it would be alright if I sprinkled it with baby powder? Would that make it calmer or smell nicer?? Are chinchillas social?? Would baby powder hurt him or make his skin dry and itchy?
WILL CHINCHILLAS HAVE BABIES?
Hiya, i have 3 chinchillas all different ages that have been together for a little more than a year now. They were all " supposedly" all the same gender...until we recently double checked. And to our surprise, 2 of them are boys and 1 is a girl Since they have been together so long, is there still a possibility she could have babies or has it been enough time to be sure they wont?Should i separate them?...They get along great but i dont want to breed them.I was also thinking of the possibility that the people that owned the girl before us got her fixed...?Thank you soo much

Should I get a Chinchilla?
I don't know if I should get a Chinchilla or not. I have wanted one ever since i was little. I am only 13. But i am very responsible and ready. The thing is that I do have 4 other animals. 2 cats and 2 dogs. I love them so much. I love animals and would do anything for them. My dog Cocoa sometimes sleeps with me and is so attached to me it's weird. She sniffs my clothes when I am not home and she pounds on my door to get into my room. I also have my cat Max. I love him more than anything in this world. He wakes me up every morning and purs and purs on me. We have what I call it a rub down when I scratch him and he does that patting thing on me. He usually is always sleeping on his little kitty condo in my room and sitting in my window. Hes the baby in the family and I would feel terrible if he ever changed his attitude towards me. I feel so guilty right now as i look at my little kitty staring at me sitting on my bed with me. I would hate to have to kick them out of my room. So I need some advice on chinchillas. I have done a lot of research on them and i know that they are very fragile and frightened easily. But do they get along with other animals? Is there any change my dog won't totally freak the chinchilla out because my dog is very paranoid. Shes also really calm and totally harmless I really really want a chinchilla. Can I please have advice. What do you think I should do? I am like tearing myself apart right now because I am such a softy when it comes to aniamls. I would have a million if I could. Sorry if it's long and please don't be mean about it.I have done A LOT of research like I said. I Do now what there about and i want one soooo bad
