Why does my cat only eat the juice of wet cat food?
well you know the juice of wet cat food? she only drinks that i don't think it is a problem...i just need to know if there is a way for her to eat the actually meat?
Chunky wet cat food? Which brands?
My 3 kitties are on a wet food only diet. They are finicky kitties and only like chunky wet cat food meaning they won't eat any classic pate style food, they refuse to even try it Currently I only feed them high quality foods and they have been eating Weruva for about a year now... unfortunately they are getting a bit bored of the flavors. Since they won't eat pate style I feel a bit limited to brands and often you can't tell from the cat if it's chunky or pate so I often end up wasting money just to find out it's pate style.Do you have high quality chunky cat food that your kitty likes? If so, please tell me what brand so I can go shopping Thanks
How to make wet cat food soup?
I have an older cat,she is fixed and at age 6 is a little heavy. I have read and was told yrs ago that dry food isnt that good for her,and worry that she may drink to much water. I have a normal sized bowl out and and she never drains it daily, the bowl is the size you get it a reg. dish set from walmart.I also remember being told that dry food isnt good for cats, that the ash content is bad for them.I have cut back, giving her 1 4 cup of it day,and 1 2 can of wet can food a day,but to me this isnt very much food. Ive read up on this on the internet and have seen that cats get alot of their water from the food they eat from nature,in the wild. Alot of people are now making what they call can food soup. Adding water to the can food to make soup,I am wondering how much water to add,or rather how much wet can food to the water, and how often a day. This has seemed to make a big difference in a cats drinking habits, and seems to make them feel happier and healthier, after calling my vet,he said it wouldnt hurt her any to try it out. I was hoping to get feed back by others on here who might add water to the canned food also, and see a marked difference in the water bowl drinking habit.By the way,in truth, just how much water is to much water for a large cat to take in,in a 24 hour period? I have a measuring cup,so if I put down so many ounces, and its gone, then I know there is a problem. I guess Im just worried,I lost my 15 yr old pek 3 weeks ago,he was my shadow, now my cat is following me around and wont let me out of her sight, maybe she is just worried about me,and mourming also. Thanks.
What brands of wet cat food are recommended?
My cat is one of the most pickiest eaters ever and have tried many many brands but what he likes i know isn't the best Friskies canned food I've tried a lot of brands but he doesn't seem to take to them. I live in canada an some brands aren't available like the states have.. Any suggestions on what wet cat food to buy. Want him to be healthy. He is an indoor cat and really active at night.
Whats the best/healthiest wet cat food?
My nine year old cat eats Purina dry cat food for urinary tract infections He had a urinary infection about 4 or 5 years back and has been completely fine ever since he got over it . But now he acts as if hes starving and is always getting on the table and basically begging for people food. I know he eats his dry cat food, theres constantly food out for him,but a lot of times after he eats a decent amount of it, he throws it up pretty soon after. Is there any advantage to just feeding him a couple times a day with a certain amount so he doesn't over do it and eat too much? I've heard switching to wet cat food is better, will it help him like his food more and not beg for people food, and keep him full? I just want to know how i can change my cats eating habits to make him healthier. Recommending a good food for him, and I'm still only going to get one that protects him from urinary tract infections. So please someone recommend a food that does that for him and what wet cat food is the best if feeding him wet food would be better than dry If I should only feed him a couple times a day with a certain amount, how much should the servings be and how many times a day?Sorry I know there are TONS of questions in this one post, but I'm really looking for some help on this situation and I've been actually thinking about it often but have never done anything about it. Thank you so much for any help Thanks for all of the help i think i might try putting a little bit of a good quality canned food in with his dry for a while and see if it works out for him. i think having something that tastes a little better and something that he enjoys better, then maybe he'll quit begging so much and over feeding on the dry food. Is it okay to mix two cat foods?

What is the best wet cat food of these brands?
If you could get Wellness brand wet cat food, Blue Buffalo brand wet cat food, Innova brand wet cat food, Natural Life the low price but healthy line that Wal Mart carries nlpp.com brand wet cat food or before grain brand wet cat food beforegrain.com , which would you choose and why? I ask this for a reason. I had a Wellness coupon so I got ten of the small 3 oz cans at Petco $1.19 a can . I got 4 of the Natural Life 5 oz cans at Wal Mart to try $1.17 a can . Blue Buffalo is on sale at Petsmart right now cheapest 5.5 oz is $1.29 while cheapest 3 oz can is $0.89 . And feed store by me as Innova 5 oz cans for $1.39 a can high prices I think, but the max I'm willing to spend and this new brand I hadn't heard of before grain, that looks like it's great, for $1.13 for a 5.5 oz can. There are so many similarities between the top of the line brands and now I'm seeing these no name companies pop up that have good ingredients. What's the best and do you think the no name brands are as good as the big name brands? My cat liked the lamb brand of the Natural Life but while it looks good, it doesn't look quite as good as the major brands while the Before Grain looks like it matches up well. So I want to know what's the best ignoring price and would the lower prices stuff be a good buy still to get the best bang for my buck while still giving a healthy meal to my cat? I'm only talking wet food here.
Anyone recommend any wet cat food for extremely finicky cats?
I have a 15 year old insulin dependent cat that just came to live with me 2 weeks ago. When she 1st arrived, she was eating good. Now that she's been here with 2 other cats she didn't know , she has become very fussy. I can't have this as she needs to eat to keep her diabetes in check. I am beside myself. Tonight I opened 6 different things. I've tried putting food down and leaving it overnight, but the other 2 cats are eating it. She won't even go to the dry food I'm afraid I'll lose her. Please help
Affordable grain free wet cat food?
I am looking for affordable wet cat food. I am currently on a budget and its to hard for me to buy the really expensive kind. My cats only eat canned food diet. Does anyone of canned food that is grain free and cheaper?

Good wet cat food brands? (and how much feeding)?
I was feeding my cats a all dry very rarely wet diet of high protein low grain. Wellness Core .My 4 year old male cat recently died of kidney and bladder related issues. So I am going to switch over to all wet. What kinds of wet foods are good? I feed some Wellness Grain Free...I wanted to know if things like fancy feast appetizers, Meow Mix Wholesome Goodness wet , Avoderm Select Cuts, Natural Balance This can says Limited Ingredient diets , Blue Wilderness... etc are good when I can't get to buy the one I try to always feed. I try to only feed them weruva but only one store sells that by me and its kinda far. I am worried about some canned high protein ones needed to be fed along with dry to ensure proper nutrition. Whats Limited Ingreient Diet? And how much wet do you feed 2 4 year old cats?No no dry, especially no dry free feeding. The meow mix Wholesome goodness chicken lists " Chicken broth, grilled chicken, chicken, vegetables carrots and peas , vegetable oil, natural & artificial flavors, cane sugar, tricalcium phosphate, salt, guar gum, calcium sulfate, choline chloride, parsley, minerals magnesium oxide, ferrous sulfate monohydrate, zinc oxide, manganese sulfate monohydrate, copper proteinate, sodium selenite, potassium iodide , taurine, carrageenan, vitamins vitamin E supplement, thiamine mononitrate, niacin, calcium pantothenate, riboflavin supplement, vitami" I don't see any what or by products so I'm confused as to why this is bad.
Would you rather force your worst enemy to eat a can of rotten wet cat food, or bathe in cat urine for 30 mins?
How does Blue Buffalo wet cat food compare to Purina Pro Plan Selects?
As I ask this question, we can all agree that the regular Blue Buffalo that's 95 % whatever chicken, turkey or salmon is better than Purina Pro Plan. But what about the other stuff? The sliced or flaked chicken or fish? Or the spa select line? Petsmart has Blue Buffalo and Purina Pro Plan on sale. I was comparing the Purina and Blue Buffalo side by side other than the 95 % one which we know is better than Purina and they seem similar. Some of the fruits and vegetables are different, but all in all, they seem the same. Are they? The Purina Pro Plan Selects 3 oz cans is on sale for $0.75 cents regular $0.97 . The Blue Buffalo healthy line which is the flaked and sliced meats, is $0.89 regular $1.09 for a 3 oz can while the larger Spa Select cans, 5.5 oz, is $0.99 regular $1.29 . I want to know which is the best buy and which is better. The 95 % Wilderness line of Blue Buffalo is $1.09 regular $1.39 for a 3 oz can but like I said, I know that's better and already picked a few up. I just need to know about the others. The sale is until May 23rd, 2010.
